For the enthusiast that wants the performance of a true CAI but lives in an area that doesn't have the most ideal weather Injen has developed the EIS Series Cold Air Intake Extension.  This EIS Extension fits on certain IS Series Intake Systems to reposition the filter behind the front bumper where the air is cooler and more dense.  When the weather turns bad, simply remove the extension and still benefit from your existing IS Intake.

The EIS Series is a cold air intake extension that adapts on to several of the IS Series Intake Systems.  It was developed for the enthusiast who wants the power of a cold air intake, but also wants the security of removing the extension during wet conditions.  Each EIS cold air intake extension is built from aviation grade T-6061 aluminum alloy to ensure the lightest design possible.  Then your EIS intake extension is CNC mandrel bends the tubing to ensure unrestricted air flow to your engine which results in added horsepower and torque.  A reusable urethane Air Filter with built in velocity stacker will provide years of service.  To secure your EIS Extension, the manufacturer supplies TIG welded brackets, stainless steel clamps and their rubber "vibra-mount" cushioning system to prevent engine vibration.
